Barre is a combination of Pilates, ballet and cardio exercise

This is a fun way to improve your aerobic fitness as well as improve muscle strength, flexibility and balance.

​Pilates
Pilates is an exercise routine developed by Joseph Pilates.

 
It uses a combination of stretching and strengthening exercises to improve strength of the core muscles, flexibility of the spine and limbs, which in turn improves balance, posture and muscle control.

Clinical Pilates is Pilates which has been modified to suit a wider range of people.
For example:  those recovering from injury or surgery, ante natal and post natal, sports people and the older adult, as well as anyone wanting to improve their strength and flexibility.
 
Classes at Whangarei Pilates and Barre are lead by a physiotherapist, so exercises can be adjusted to suit your needs and condition.
